The City of Louisville has long ben known for it's support and love for the performing and visual arts.  This is evedenced by the countless performances that are held here each year.  The Kentucky Center for the Arts is the hub for the arts world in the Louisville area.  The center is located downtown on historic Main Street across from the Humana Building.  It has over 3,000 seats, three stages, a restaurant, and a collection of internationally acclaimed sculptures.  For more information, call (502) 562-1210.  The primary arts organizations in the Louisville area:

     Louisville's Tony Award winning repertory theater features comodies, musicals and dramas.  In addition, each spring the Humana Festival of New American Plays attracts playwrights from all around the world to Louisville.
